Philipp Baaske is a visionary entrepreneur and leader in the biotech field who co-founded NanoTemper Technologies GmbH with Stefan Duhr. Under his leadership, the company has established itself as a global leader in biophysical solutions for drug development and biomanufacturing. With a dedicated team of over 200 talented professionals, NanoTemper is uniquely 100% founder-owned, enabling it to innovate freely and maintain close relationships with its customers.

Philipp comes from a family of craftsmen and grew up in a small village in the north of Bavaria. Now, as the founder and CEO of a globally operating biotech company, he is driven to develop biophysical and AI-based tools to help fight diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s. He is passionate about inspiring others to overcome the limits they set for themselves, to think big and globally, and to stand for democracy and equality. Philipp loves to engage with people, learn something new, and get inspired. He enjoys life with his loved ones and finds beauty in the small things. His hobbies include running, soccer, and science fiction.

Throughout his journey, Philipp has received numerous accolades, including the German Innovation Prize and the German Founders Award, which recognize the company's commitment to transformative technology in biotech. He was named one of the "Top 40 under 40" by Capital magazine, showcasing his influence in the biotech landscape. NanoTemper has also achieved recognition as a "TOP100 Innovator of the Year" among medium-sized companies multiple times, highlighting its continued commitment to innovation.

In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Philipp serves as a Senator in the Bundeswirtschaftssenat (BVMW), actively contributing to the advancement of medium-sized businesses in Germany. Under his guidance, NanoTemper has been recognized as one of Germany’s most innovative companies consistently, reflecting its relentless pursuit of excellence in biophysical technology. He also participates in the IHK München & Oberbayern Fachausschuss für Industrie und Innovation, advocating for growth and innovation within the industry.
