With over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Emma is a seasoned leader recognised for navigating complex, large-scale technological and regulatory shifts on a global level. Her strategic collaboration in digital transformation has positioned her at the forefront of modernizing the patient safety sector. She combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive impactful change.
Emma has a passion for authenticity, empathy, and excellence, and excels in leading diverse teams. She leverages her ability to balance operational precision with forward-thinking innovation to deliver sustainable, high-value solutions. Currently, Emma holds the role of Group Head of Safety Data Acquisition at Roche Pharma, leading a team that optimizes global safety data collection and intake from all sources across a product’s lifecycle worldwide. Her current focus is on digital health tools, medical devices, and the juxtaposition of pharmacovigilance and device regulation.
In addition to this role, Emma serves as Business Manager to the Patient Safety Operations Leadership Team, where she is defining strategy amidst significant organisational change and transition.
Emma joined Roche in 2006 and has worked in a variety of roles across Global Drug Safety, including Operational, Compliance, and System Development/CSV positions. More recently, she served as Department Site Head on the Welwyn Leadership Team from 2021 to 2023.
Prior to her tenure at Roche, Emma began her career in neurology research and holds a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol.
